SYDNEY, Australia (Sony
Music Australia) - If you were one of the lucky punters who caught Infusion's blistering live sets on the BDO 2005, start getting buzzed - the guys will be tearing it up with an East Coast tour of Oz this April, in support of their new single 'Natural', out Sunday.
Australia's premier electronic band and one of the best live acts in the world, Infusion have just announced they will be hitting the highway on terra firma for an East Coast tour this April. Kicking off at the
Prince of Wales in Melbourne on Apri 22, Jamie, Manuel, Frank & band will be taking their superior mix of beats, riffs and bleeps to Sydney, Wollongong (their home town), Canberra, Brisbane and Newcastle.
Infusion's current album 'Six Feet Above Yesterday was released in 2004 to cirtitcal acclaim and has since spurned two massive singles: the first, 'Girls Can Be Cruel' hit the No 1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart in Australia and has this month debuted at No 1 on the UK dance charts, while 'Better World' followed hot on its trail last December.
The album's third single 'Natural' - a banged up dirty rock reworking of their massive club scorcher 'Love & Imitation' - is released this Sunday and we're putting our bets on this addictive track catapulting the guys to meteoric heights here and abroad.
Currently on a European and South American tour, Infusion have continued to generate a phenomenal international buzz through gigs at major venues including Miami Winter Music Conference, Cargo (leading club in London), clubs in Costa Rica, Mexico and Texas, and will wrap their global onslaught at the Ultra Festival in Miami supporting Moby.
The past 12 months have been a whirlwind for Jamie, Manuel and Frank. Following their Aria Award win for Best Dance Release in 2004, the guys went on to tear it up at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including a blazing tour with the 2005 Big Day Out, Creamfields, Glastonbury (UK), Hultsfred (Sweden) and were the headline act on their stage at last year's mammoth Roskilde Festival (biggest music festival in Scandanavia).
