LOS ANGELES (Luck Media & Marketing) - Former member of the 90's band Marcy Playground, Brad Barker joins the Taz Taylor Band as their new drummer. The band's lineup is completed by keyboard player Bob Miller and bassist Dirk Krause. Brad has played in multiple bands in the Philadelphia area in multiple genres including classic rock, funk and jazz-fusion. This new collaboration should prove nothing but greatness as Taylor and Barker have had chemistry right from the start. They will be appearing in a Battle of the Bands in San Diego on March 25th. The show starts at 8pm with the winner of the battle receiving recording time in a local studio. Taz Taylor is fast becoming a familiar name in the San Diego music scene, but as Taz says, "I don't view us as just a San Diego band. We are doing these warm up shows in San Diego because this is where we live!" Taylor, whose guitar prowess rivals that of Joe Satriani, has been receiving rave reviews for the independently released album Caffeine Racer, "...a true guitar masterpiece," says Smother.net. This edgy, instrumental rock album is also being exposed for placement in TV for sports and extreme sports shows. Taz Taylor holds himself up to a high standard and firmly believes that if you are passionate about what you do it will show in the end result and people will be drawn toward it! Quite frankly in Taz's case this is very much true.
