AUSTIN, TX. (Ohn Music) - Live electronica artist Ohn celebrates the release of their second album entitled "In The End, All Things Begin" The CD, a combination of electronic, jazz, soul, rock and hip-hop genres, will be physically distributed through The Orchard as well as CDBaby, and will be available through major digital distribution providers including Itunes, Napster, MSN and Rhapsody by April 1st.
"This is by far our most ambitious effort to date," stated Bill Sarver, the creator of the group. Members of Ohn include Brad Houser (Critters Buggin, The New Bohemians) on bass and saxophone, Bildeaux (Scum Of The Earth,16volt, Soak, Lila's Medicine) on laptop and beats, Chris Forshage (Larry) on guitar and horn, Ryan-Blum_Kryzstal on vocals and keys, Chal Boudreaux (Soak, Zayara) on guitar and bass, Andrew Tachovsky on guitar and DJ Nick Nack (Crowd Control Records) on the turn tables. The sophomore album brings a unique combination of musical talents into one of the most stunning electronic albums emerging from Austin in years.
OHN's style has been described as "DJ Shadow meets Bitches Brew-era Miles Davis" and has garnered rave reviews from local and national media. OHN utilizes a deadly combination of dual guitars, trumpet, keys, bass, drums, middle-eastern instruments, programmed beats, saxophone and samples to create a remarkable live, electronic sound. OHN formed when a diverse group of musicians from several popular Austin bands found a common musical ground. The second album was recorded in some of Austin's top studios over a span of two years.
Bildeaux, founding father, programmer and producer, has worked on material for talented artists such as Jarboe from the Swans, Riggs from Rob Zombie, Soak (Interscope/Sire) and Laura Scarborough. Guitarist Chal Boudreaux hails from Soak and currently plays with Sony recording artist Zayra. Chris Forshage has played with many acts including Larry and Grass. Andrew Tachovsky is also a guitar veteran, previously sharing stages with Chris in the band Pura Vida.
Ryan Blum-Kryzstal is a poet and jazz vocalist, currently attending the prestigious New School Of Jazz in NYC. Brad Houser is a veteran of several top notch bands such as Critter's Buggin(Ropeadope), The New Bohemians(Geffen), and Lila's Medicine. This powerhouse ensemble has been wowing audiences with its unique visual and ever changing live performances, and has taken free form electronic music to an all new level.
