NEW YORK (Columbia Records/ www.frankiejonline.com) - Pop/R&B superstar Frankie J's eagerly-awaited new album, The One, has debuted at No 3 - the highest position of any new album entering the chart this week - on the Billboard Top 200 bestselling albums chart.

With true first week's sales of 130,346 pieces, according to SoundScan, The One has already generated the best single week's sales figures of Frankie J's solo career. (Released in May 2003, his debut solo album, What's A Man To Do?, entered the Top 200 at No 53, with first week's sales of 20,274.)
The One has also come in at No 3 on the R&B Album Sales chart and No 9 on the Top Internet Albums chart.
A burgeoning national radio breakout success, "Obsession (No Es Amor)," the first single from The One, is No 2 on the Top 40 Rhythm Monitor, No 4 on Top 40 Mainstream Monitor, and No 3 on the Spanish Contemporary Airplay chart.
According to SoundScan, "Obsession (No Es Amor)" is No 29 on the R&B Single Sales chart.

Frankie J is scheduled to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on April 12. He has recently appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Good Morning America" and is gearing up for a coast-to-coast national tour - details TBA - in support of The One.

Born in Tijuana and raised in San Diego, vocalist Frankie J came to early prominence as a dance music artist, then as a lead singer in the platinum Latin pop group AB Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings (whose 1999 debut album sold half a million copies and earned the group a Grammy nomination).
His 2003 debut solo album, What's A Man To Do?, featured the smash hit, "Don't Wanna Try."
