BURBANK, CA. (Reprise Records) - On the heels of selling out the U.K.'s Milton Keynes Stadium, Grammy Award-winning trio Green Day will perform three stadiums this summer/fall as part of an extensive North American tour. The band is scheduled to perform on NBC's Emmy Award-winning, top-rated late-night comedy-variety series, "Saturday Night Live," this Saturday, April 9th, with guest host Cameron Diaz.

Dates for the tour are still to be announced, but the stadium shows and on-sale dates are as follows:
9/1 E. Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium Tix On Sale 4/9 @ 9AM
9/24 San Francisco, CA SBC Park Tix On Sale 4/10 @ 10AM
10/8 Los Angeles, CA Home Depot Center Tix On Sale 4/9 @ 10AM

Green Day's "American Idiot" was released on September 21, 2004, and debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and Number One in several countries around the world. Weeks later, the album returned to the Number One chart position in the U.S. and many of the same countries across the globe. "American Idiot" won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in February of this year, and the band has received extensive media attention in both the alternative and mainstream press, gracing the covers of Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Spin, Alternative Press, Entertainment Weekly's Listen To This, Bass Player, Drum and Guitar World.

"American Idiot" has spawned two Number One radio hits with its title track and "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams," which created radio history when it climbed to Number One at six radio formats simultaneously. Their third single, "Holiday," is steadily climbing to the number one position just as quickly. Green Day was touted as Yahoo! Music's Artist of The Month at release time, and the band recorded Sessions@AOL this past fall, airing extensively on Fuse. In addition Green Day has had multiple appearances on Fuse's 100% and Daily Download.

Green Day is currently in the midst of an unprecedented partnership with the Independent Film Channel (IFC). IFC is committed to merge Green Day's rock anthem, "Jesus of Suburbia," into the network's very DNA for an entire year by incorporating the song into IFC's on- and off-air promotions and programming throughout 2005.
Following The Leak on MTV.com, Green Day was made Buzzworthy by MTV, and continues to be a staple in rotation on the MTV Networks. The band was the first band featured on the re-launch of VH1's compelling series, "Storytellers," and mtvU will be presenting them with their first-ever Honorary Degree this spring.
