NEW YORK (Universal Records) - In less than 7 weeks after it's release, Seventeen Days (Republic/Universal) the album by rock favorites 3 Doors Down has been certified platinum by the RIAA. The band hit the million mark while touring in Europe in support of the new album. The record's first single "Let Me Go" is in the top 5 at Rock radio across the country and at No 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart while Seventeen Days continues to hold strong at the top of the albums charts, this week at No 19 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

Seventeen Days is the Mississippi rock band's third studio album and their first No 1 album debut. It entered the Billboard Top 200 Chart at No 1 on February 8, 2005. No strangers to hit records, 3 Doors Down have sold over 12 million albums with their previous releases, The Better Life (2000) and Away From The Sun (2002). They have written six No 1 hit singles: "Here Without You", "When I'm Gone", "Be Like That", "Loser", "Duck and Run" and "Kryptonite."

Recorded in Nashville with producer Johnny K (Finger 11, Disturbed), Seventeen Days' twelve tracks include the first hit single "Let Me Go"; the coming of age narrative "Be Somebody"; the studio version of "It's Not Me"; "The Real Life," Brad's follow up to the dark single "Away From The Sun"; "Landing In London" featuring Bob Seger; and "Behind Those Eyes," the quintessential break up song and second single. "Behind Those Eyes" goes to rock radio this next week.

Billboard Magazine says, "Even with a healthy respect for heritage, 3 Doors Down is a thoroughly modern American band - and a damn good one." While Associated Press writes, "Hard rocking riffs and sensitive lyrics...with it's third album, Seventeen Days, the band has blown away most of its competition."
