NEW YORK (www.daveisaacs.com) - Louisiana Red Hot Records recording artist Dave Isaacs will perform a string of dates in the Chicago area in support of his latest release Flying, a highly-acclaimed CD of instrumentals featuring the NYC-based singer-songwriter's skill as a guitarist, improviser, and composer. In a partnership with Parker Guitars (now owned by Chicago-based U.S. Music Corporation), Isaacs used Parker instruments almost exclusively on the CD, and their versatility and tonal range are well-suited to his eclectic musical vision.

Dave Isaacs has earned accolades from music writers and radio professionals in Americana, blues, country and jazz, displaying songwriting and musicianship skills that reach past genre boundaries into a rich and deeply personal style. Though formerly best known as a roots artist, singer-songwriter, and frontman for New York country-rock band Jackalope Junction, he is also trained in classical guitar with an advanced degree from NYC's Manhattan School of Music. 20th Century Guitar magazine wrote, "few guitarists gigging today are as adept at merging classical guitar technique with the cutting edge frontiers of instrumental rock-jazz" while The Critical Review simply calls Isaacs "a master of instrumental guitar.....a prodigy of sorts." A semi-finalist in the 2003 Mountain Stage NewSong competition, Isaacs has drawn equally high praise for his songwriting; music director Dave Stratton at WQBR in State College, PA called his work "a breath of fresh air in a cynical world....[Dave] writes songs we wish we all could, about the universals that affect us all." ]
