Porcupine Tree are crossing the Pond mid-May in celebration of their upcoming new album Deadwing due in stores May 3rd. The British quartet kicks off a highly anticipated North American tour beginning May 13 in Washington D.C., continuing on through June 11, ending in the Los Angeles area. Former King Crimson founder and avant-garde guitarist Robert Fripp will open for

Porcupine Tree's upcoming new album Deadwing, produced by principal songwriter/guitarist Steven Wilson, will be released just prior to the tour kick-off. The album, scheduled for release on April 26, features the first single "Shallow." The in-your-face track is enjoying substantial radio play at multiple formats including Alternative and Active Rock. Billboard cites the song as, "chock full of proggy goodness...could be the most straight-ahead song the band has created."
Porcupine Tree is comprised of Steven Wilson (lead vocals, guitar), Richard Barbieri (keyboards), Colin Edwin (bass), and Gavin Harrison (drums).
