NEW YORK (RCA Records) - Dave Matthews Band brand new studio album, Stand Up, entered the charts at Number One this week, selling more than 464,559 units according to SoundScan. Stand Up becomes the fourth consecutive DMB studio album to enter the charts at Number One and the highest debut for a rock act so far this year.

Working for the first time in their redesigned Charlottesville recording studios with a brand new producer, the band not only created an album that was embraced by fans, but by critics as well. Entertainment Weekly says "Stand Up is brimming with potential singles...It's sublime."
Rolling Stone says the album "is a quintessential summer record, a collection of tight, group-composed grooves and breezy tunes..." The Boston Globe calls it "The best Dave Matthews Band album in years."

Dave Matthews Band has sold more than 30 Million units in the United States alone and over 10 Million concert tickets, making them a top concert draw year in and year out.
The band begins their summer tour on June 1st with a date in St. Louis, MO's UMB Bank Pavilion and is not expected to finish until late September at which point the band will have played nearly 50 dates in total.
