LOS ANGELES (Hall & Oates PR) - You can't keep a good man down, even when he's been afflicted with a serious disease. Just 6 weeks after being diagnosed with Lyme Disease, a serious tick-borne illness,
Daryl Hall is on his feet and ready to get back on the road with partner John Oates. Following several weeks of well-needed rest and having undergone the first 6 weeks of an intensive four months of antibiotic treatments,
Daryl Hall is expected to fully recover.
The chart-topping soul duo Daryl Hall & John Oates were forced to cancel all of their July dates on their summer tour and have rescheduled Toledo (8/6), Chicago (8/8) and Clio (8/9) in support of their current album, "Our Kind of Soul." Other rescheduled dates in Columbus, OH (8/11), Waukegan, IL (8/12), Apple Valley, MN (8/13) were forced to be cancelled for a second time due to follow-up testing needed to confirm Hall's recovery.
Daryl Hall and John Oates are slated to be back on the road full time in late August. They will be joined by special guest Todd Rundgren, starting Aug. 23 at Bank of America Pavilion in Boston through Sept. 2 at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, CT. A full tour listing can be found at the bottom of this release or at www.hallandoates.com.
Hall attributes his road to recovery to early diagnosis, intense antibiotic therapy, and rest. He thanks everyone for their get-well wishes and kind words of support.
