Rooster - Nick Atkinson, Luke Potashnick, Ben Smyth and
David Neale - shot to stardom overseas with the release of their hot self-titled debut album. 'Rooster' debuted at No 3 on the UK charts and delivered four killer singles, two of which became Top 10 UK hits.
Boosted by their chart-topping success, Rooster went from being virtual unknowns to stars in the space of a few months, selling out two UK tours and another in Japan, and look set to do the same here! A rock band with soul and a massive heart, Rooster have their sights on some big goals.
"We want to bring back stadium rock," guitarist Luke says with a big grin. "No modern, young bands are really trying to do that any more. We want to remind people of the craft and the spirit and the sheer excitement of music that not only works in your heart and in your mind but blows you away out there on the big stage."
And that's exactly what Rooster will do when they hit town in August this year - blow audiences away! Although they won't be playing stadium-sized venues (yet), they'll be rocking the stripey socks off audiences in Melbourne and Sydney. This'll probably be your only chance to catch the guys before they become megastars, so get your skates on and grab a ticket when they go on sale this Friday, August 5.
Rooster will be supported by local bands Osterberg in Melbourne and Modular Lounge in Sydney.
