NASHVILLE, TN. (Motley Crue Fans Website) - What happens when country music's only new male to score a Top 10 single in 2005, a motley rock icon who recently re-enrolled in school, and a former Tennessee Titan all huddle up to make a music video? Well, it's called 'XXL,' starring country-rocker Keith Anderson, and, to say the least, it's destined to be incredibly entertaining!
The clip of 'XXL,' by award-winning director Trey Fanjoy and produced by Don Lepore for Picture Vision, incorporates multiple vivid dramatic scenes interwoven with energy-charged live performance footage of the Arista Nashville recording artist and his band. In one scene, Mo"tley Cru"e drummer Tommy Lee is surrounded by glamorous nurses and takes on an OBGYN role and delivers a baby boy as he lip-syncs, 'Oh, mama, he's a XXL!!' In another vignette, Anderson joins three gorgeous southern belles and one ugly humongous steer with a huge Texas flag in the background. Former Tennessee Titans football celebrity Eddie George takes on a 'youthful' role and joins some pre-teen football players in another hilarious 'XXL' scene.
'The ‘XXL' video treatment nails exactly – and even beyond – the vision that I had for the song back when I co-wrote it with Bob DiPiero,' exudes Anderson. 'It carries on the spirit of my album, Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll, by pairing an Oklahoma country boy with a die-hard rocker, Dr. Feelgood himself, Tommy Lee of Mo"tley Cru"e! Then, for added flavor,' he laughingly adds, 'we played up the sports theme in the song's lyrics by creating a cameo for football legend Eddie George – and, of course, to make it a well-balanced video, we had to cast plenty of beautiful actresses!'
Filmed in Nashville on September 11, Keith Anderson's newest video event is the highly-anticipated follow-up to his No 1 debut music video, 'Pickin' Wildflowers.' According to CMT – Country Music Television, Anderson has been the only male debut artist to land a No 1 video on their network this year.
Although a specific video airdate is unconfirmed at this time, the final edit of 'XXL' is expected within two to three weeks.
As the man who's been enjoying superstar-level attention from AOL Music as its only country Breaker artist of the summer, Anderson continues to break wide open with his 'XXL' single, climbing this week to No 31* in R&R and No 35* in Billboard.
Fans can also watch for Anderson performing this Saturday, September 17, as part of the CMT television event, CMT 100 Greatest Duets, which features a four-hour documentary beginning at 5 PM ET/PT, followed by the two-hour concert countdown of the Top 12 duets, with the concert airing at 9 PM ET/PT.
