SYDNEY, AU. (SONY BMG Music Entertainment) - Retro rockers The Strokes are just about ready to let us hear some new material - the first cut from their upcoming third album will hit radio in October. The track, 'Juice Box', is lifted from the New York five-piece's highly anticipated album 'First Impressions Of Earth'. Get ready for a dose of world-class rock hitting you soon - The Strokes are gearing up to drop their brand new record. Singer Julian Casablancas told NME.COM that, "The album's kind of about how someone from outer space would objectively view things happening on earth."

The first track we'll get to hear from the album will be 'Juice Box', which hits radio in October. Julian told NME, "The single could be about a proper relationship, a casual friendship or whatever you want really. It's one of the more fun songs. The title just sounded like a cool word. It was originally called 'Dracula's Lunch', but I liked the sound of 'Juice Box'."

'First Impressions Of Earth' will be the first album from The Strokes since 2003's 'Room On Fire' and is expected to be a little different from their previous releases. They've got a new producer on board - David Khane - and Julian Casablancas' vocals are said to feature much more prominently in the mix.
Stay tuned for more Strokes news to hit you in the coming weeks!
