LOS ANGELES (Impact 210) - Universal
Music recording artist Miri Ben-Ari will be featured on the cover of the October issue of Impact210: The Magazine. After blowing away hip hop audiences around the world on tracks with
Kanye West and Jay-Z, Ben-Ari is set to release her debut album, The Hip-Hop Violinist. 'Miri Ben-Ari is an amazing artist and we are so honored she has agreed to pose for our October cover,' explains
Jessica Koslow, Editor-in-Chief, Impact210: The Magazine.
The Israeli-born violinist made a splash in 2001 when Wyclef Jean hailed her as the 'world's greatest living violinist.' Though classically trained under the legendary Isaac Stern, she found her passion and drive within the urban world. She has produced string arrangements for artists such as Alicia Keys, Patti Labelle, Brandy, Janet Jackson, Maroon 5, Lil' Mo, Britney Spears and many more. She also appeared on over 90% of Kanye West's The College Dropout CD.
Now she is poised to let audiences know she can create her own vision with the release of her debut, simply titled The Hip-Hop Violinist. Proving that it's possible to blend the classical and urban worlds, she has a star-studded line up of guests that include John Legend, Anthony Hamilton, Kanye West, Twista, E-40, Pharoahe Monch, Fabolous, Styles P, Scarface and members of the Cash Money crew.
'Miri Ben-Ari is so cutting-edge, and she falls right in line with what we are trying to do with our publication,' explains Michael Fomkin, CEO, Impact 210.
