Music Entertainment) - MTV Australia will be premiering an unplugged performance by the one and only
Alicia Keys next Tuesday. The unforgettable acoustic show features a full set of Alicia's tracks, including several new songs, and she is joined on stage by the likes of
Mos Def and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. 'Alicia Keys Unplugged' will be released on CD and DVD in October. Filmed July 14 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, 'Alicia Keys Unplugged' showcases the work and talent of one very special lady. In 2005, TIME magazine named
Alicia Keys one of The Most Influential People in the World, and at the age of 24, Alicia is a nine time Grammy Award winning artist whose debut record 'Songs In A Minor' has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.
Now, MTV debuts the next generation of its popular live performance series, 'Unplugged', by hosting the incomparable Ms Alicia Keys. The sensational performance features all of Alicia's biggest hits, some as you know them, others as you've never heard them before, and even includes some brand new songs, exclusive to 'Unplugged'.
Alicia is joined on stage by musical counterparts Common, Mos Def, Damian Marley and Maroon 5's Adam Levine for several memorable collaborations, including a rousing rendition of the Rolling Stones classic 'Wild Horses'.
"This MTV Unplugged is such an amazing and eclectic musical experience which enabled me to arrange the songs with a new perspective, express myself musically, and connect with my fans on a different level then ever before," says Alicia. 'Alicia Keys Unplugged' will debut on MTV Australia Tuesday, October 4 at 7.00pm, then repeat Wednesday October 5 at 1.00pm, Thursday October 6 at 10.00pm & Sunday October 9 at 6.00pm.
The 'Alicia Keys Unplugged' album will hit stores October 16, while the DVD of Alicia's outstanding performance will be available on October 30.
