SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (Universal
Music Australia) -
Sarah Blasko is preparing to embark on her 'Sweet November Tour', which will take her through
Victoria & Queensland.
Since the Australian release of her critically-acclaimed debut album, 'The Overture & the Underscore' last November, Blasko has performed numerous sold-out national shows, toured internationally three times including supporting Ray Lamontagne and released her album in the US, Canada & the UK. She was recently nominated for four ARIAs including Best Female Act, Best Pop Album, Best Breakthrough Artist and Best Album.
Blasko's 'Always Worth It' 'featured in the final episode of cult TV show, 'Six Feet Under', and her cover of Cold Chisel's 'Flame Trees' is included on the soundtrack for the new Cate Blanchett film, 'Little Fish'.
Currently on tour in the UK & Ireland with British songwriter Tom McRae, Blasko is diligently promoting the release of her debut album in the UK & Europe through Mercury Music this month. Following these performances, Sarah and accompanist Robert F Cranny will head over to the US & Canada for a busy run of dates with the immensely talented Martha Wainwright before reuniting with the full band for their final Australian outing of 2005.
With a streamlined five-member line-up and a host of new musical gadgets, Blasko aims to further expound popular tracks from her debut album, and to introduce some material as yet unheard by audiences.
