SYDNEY, AU. (Universal Music) - Due to overwhelming demand, the Bernard Fanning 'Tea & Sympathy' album launch show in Brisbane has sold out in less than three hours. The Sydney show is also sold out. These intimate theatre shows across the country will reveal Bernard Fanning's debut solo work to the public for the first time. The first single off the new album, 'Wish You Well' was the No 1 Most Added at Radio in its week of release. 'He sings songs of uncorny, uplifting comfort – almost secular prayer songs – better than almost anyone in this country. He can express touching sentiment with a warmth that makes listeners nostalgic about the present, as effectively as he can belt out a rock song – and always soulfully.' Rolling Stone, October 2005. 'Tea & Sympathy' is in stores on October 30 through Dew Process/Universal Music Australia. Tickets to Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth are still available, but are selling extremely fast.
