NEW YORK, NY (Procter & Gamble) - For the first time ever, the Country Music Association (CMA) is bringing Country to New York City for the presentation of the 2005 CMA Awards, and several events have been planned from November 10th through November 15th to help New York City celebrate. The Prilosec OTC Country Music Tour: Road to the CMA Awards in New York City bus stop event will be held on Thursday, November 10th. Additionally, Prilosec OTC and the CMA have joined the American Freedom Festival, which is one of the week's featured events, as sponsors. On Friday, November 11th at the historic Roseland Ballroom, Country Music performers, including the legendary Charlie Daniels, will join together with athletes and dignitaries in a variety concert to raise money and awareness for the veterans of America's armed forces and their families. Prilosec OTC will introduce the grand prizewinner of The Prilosec OTC Burning to Sing Your Heart Out Contest, Dallas Burnett, at the event. As part of his prize, Dallas will perform on stage with Charlie Daniels during the concert. The week will culminate with the 39th Annual Country Music Awards at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, November 15th.

"Prilosec OTC and Country Music have something in common - they are both No 1 with people who suffer from frequent heartburn. We have had so much fun working with the CMA to celebrate Country Music and educate consumers about frequent heartburn. This was an exciting venture for us as we connected with so many different types of people and Country Music fans from all across the country," said Kip Olmstead, Brand Manager of Prilosec OTC.

The line-up of events includes:

- Thursday, November 10th: The Prilosec OTC Country Music Tour: Road to the CMA Awards in New York City

In celebration of the 2005 CMA Awards, The Prilosec OTC Country Music Tour: Road to the CMA Awards in New York City visited 18 cities across the country to bring a little bit of Country to people across the nation. The tour is making its final stop in New York City on November 10 at Kmart located at 250 West 34th Street from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This stop will be the largest yet with a special appearance by the Knicks City Dancers. The dancers will perform an original line dance as well as teach consumers how to line dance to some of their favorite Country songs.

The 45-foot tour bus will pull into New York City to give fans an up close and personal look at a tour bus, as well as the chance to perform their favorite Country Music song and receive a free CD of their performance. For each singer, Prilosec OTC will make a donation to America's Second Harvest-The Nations Food Bank Network to help with Hurricane relief efforts. Consumers will also have the opportunity to view an exhibit of past CMA Awards memorabilia, and speak one-on-one with a pharmacist about heartburn. Those who attend the event and complete a heartburn screener will have the chance to win prizes, including gift certificates from local New York City retailers and a First Act acoustic guitar signed by Charlie Daniels.
