LOS ANGELES (AP) - Limp Bizkit's guitarist search is set to begin January 10 in Fresno, California. The band will audition potential axemen at Guitar Centers around the country in the hopes of finding a replacement for Wes Borland, who left the band early this year. The tour wraps up February 11 in Hollywood, California.
Through limpbizkit.com, fans from overseas can upload their songs and guitar work, and the band will fly those that cut the mustard to one of the auditions in the United States. Pre-auditions are set to start at 10 a.m. each day for a chance to play with Limp Bizkit or in front of Limp Bizkit later that night. The exact logistical details are still being worked out.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst wrote on his website a few weeks back: "I know one of you out there absolutely shred on guitar...I'm ready to find new blood. I can't wait to see everybody. If we're coming near you then get your ass out of the house and come hang!!!"
