Grimes has been named 'AC/Hot AC Male Artist of the Year' by New
Music Weekly at their annual awards show on Saturday, November 19th. The Key Club on Hollywood's famed Sunset Boulevard was the site of this years ceremony where ironically
Grimes was also awarded 'AC/Hot AC Single of the Year' for his song, titled Sunset Boulevard.
Velocity Entertainment, Grimes's label, also won for 'AC/Hot AC Label of the Year.'
'I will remember these awards for the rest of my life because it's the first time we have won anything for our music,' states Grimes. 'It's a great feeling to know all of our hard work is starting to pay off. There is nothing like getting this sort of recognition, not to mention being nominated with such other great artists.'

The New Music Weekly Awards is an annual event celebrating top artists, music industry executives, and radio station program and music directors, who have displayed excellence throughout the year. The annual event proves to be a favorite amongst artists, radio, and industry alike. This years MCs included syndicated radio host Buck McCoy along with Corey Clark (American Idol) and Lauren Woodland (The Young and the Restless)
Scott Grimes released his Velocity Entertainment debut Livin' on the Run earlier this year, to rave reviews and much radio success, including two Top 20 singles. Grimes is also known for his acting talents, including his current roles as Dr Archie Morris on the long-running series ER, and as the voice of Steve on American Dad. Grimes has also starred in projects such as Band of Brothers, Party of Five, and Mystery Alaska.
