NEW YORK (AP) - It might not be music's biggest night, but scoring a Golden Globe nomination is still high on many artists' wish lists.

This year, Paul McCartney, Sting, and Enya lead the artist list for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture at the 59th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 20. The awards ?- which will air live on NBC from Los Angeles - are given out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

McCartney is up for the title track from Vanilla Sky; Sting's nod is for "Until?" from Kate & Leopold; and Enya's is "May It Be" from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Rounding out that category are songwriters David Baerwald ("Come What May," Moulin Rouge) and Diane Warren ("There You'll Be," Pearl Harbor).

Up for Best Original Score in a Motion Picture are Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge), Angelo Badalamenti (Mulholland Drive), Lisa Gerrard and Pieter Bourke (Ali), James Horner (A Beautiful Mind), Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring), John Williams (A.I.: Artificial Intelligence), Christopher Young (The Shipping News), and Hans Zimmer (Pearl Harbor).

Meanwhile, pop-R&B singer Will Smith scored a Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) nomination for his portrayal of Muhammed Ali in Ali.
