NEW YORK, NY. (Jive Records) - The 48th Annual Grammy nominations were announced today and Multi-Platinum Superstar Ciara was recognized with 4 nods from the Academy, which will air from Los Angeles on February 8th, 2006. Nominations include Best New Artist, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (1, 2 Step w/ Missy Elliot), Best Rap Song (Lose Control - Missy Elliot f/Ciara and Fatman Scoop), and Best Short Form Music Video (Lose Control - Missy Elliot f/Ciara and Fatman Scoop). Closing out 2005 with a bang, Ciara is currently on the road in this year's most critically acclaimed concert series, Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers Tour 2005.

At only 20 years old, Ciara has quickly established herself as the entertainment industry's hottest triple threat. Having sold over 3 million records worldwide with a mega debut, Ciara's career has quickly launched into a world of music, movies and more! The scene stealing songstress has been recognized with over 30 notable nominations and awards which include nods from the MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Lady of Soul Awards, the Soul Train Awards, American Music Awards, the CosmoGIRL "Born To Lead" Awards and now, 4 Grammy nominations!

Ciara's surmounting recognition has also secured her breakout performances at top music events and shows which include the BET Awards, VH-1's Hip Hop Honors, Vibe Awards, American Music Awards, and most recently, a show stopping performance at this week's Billboard Awards, where she performed a high energized melody of her 3 No 1 singles, "Goodies," "1, 2 Step" and "Oh."

Ciara will bring her triumphant year to a close immediately following her tour with Gwen, where she will join Bow Wow, Omarion, and Chris Brown for the We Ain't Done Yet Holiday Tour.
