NASHVILLE, TN (Universal Music Group Nashville) - Mercury recording artist Billy Currington will join Brad Paisley's "Time Well Wasted" 2006 tour in support of his sophomore album "Doin' Somethin' Right." The 17-date tour kicks off January 25 in Duluth, MN and continues through the beginning of April. It includes stops at the 20,000+ capacity Savvis Center in St. Louis and the 17,000+ capacity Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville. Sara Evans is also slated to perform on the tour.

When asked about the tour, Currington said, "I can't wait to join the next run of Brad's 'Time Well Wasted' tour. He's such a huge talent in the industry, and I'm thrilled to be his opening act. I am excited to go out and give my fans a show they won't forget."

In addition to his current Top 5 hit "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right," audiences can expect to hear favorites from his 2003 self-titled debut such as the smash hit "I Got A Feelin'," as well as "Party For Two," his CMA and ACM- nominated duet with Shania Twain. Currington will also perform several songs from the new album such as "I Wanna Be A Hillbilly" and "Why, Why, Why," both of which are proving to be new fan-favorites.

Currington co-wrote four songs on "Doin' Somethin' Right" - "Why, Why, Why," "Here I Am," "Whole Lot More" and "She's Got A Way With Me," which he wrote with Michael McDonald, who also contributed backup vocals and instrumentation on the recording.

The release of "Doin' Somethin' Right" marked Currington's highest sales week ever and landed him at No 2 on Billboard's Current Country Albums Chart. The singer-songwriter has been featured in USA Today, Vanity Fair, Billboard and on the cover of Playgirl. He was also recently named one of People's "Sexiest Men Alive."
