RyKy Records co-founder Neal R. Voron is spearheading the campaign to distribute "The Musician's Christmas Dream" storybook - which he wrote as a tribute to Pokorny - and Joe's music.
"In the story, Joe generously shares his Christmas music, his wonderful message that 'Christmas Is Love', and his dream to share his music with the world," Voron said. "I am excited to help him reach out and find his real-life audience. His music, his lyrics, and his humble devotion to serving mankind through his art are all very special."
The offered songs represent two titles from Pokorny's "Christmas Is Love" CD album and one title from each of his other released albums. "When" is a peace song from "Wind Dance", his Irish love story musical.
"Happy Birthday, Jesus" is a birthday message to Jesus Christ, an appreciation that 'His arms reach out to everyone, no matter who you are', and a declaration that 'I give my heart to you.'.
"I Love Christmas", another of Pokorny's original Christmas tunes, excitedly declares 'I Love Christmas! It's the very best time of the year.'
"When", written by Pokorny and performed by Christine Favorite, asks, "When will the world ever learn to want peace? When will the world ever learn?"
"How Can I Be Like Him?", from the "Saint Francis Cantata", represents Francis uniting himself with the suffering of Jesus Christ.
"Love Is", from the upcoming "Benjamin Franklin Musical" and the title song on the "Love Is" CD album, describes the meaning of love and tells about love being the very best gift we can give one another.
"Starlight", from the upcoming "The Obstacle Course Musical" and the "Songwriter Man" CD album, sings the praises of a special gift that lets you see others clearly without being judgemental.
"For The Heroes", also from "The Obstacle Course Musical" and the "We The People" CD album, is a tribute to unsung heroes, 'those who put their lives on the line', military personnel, veterans, police, fire, and emergency workers.
"Father", from the upcoming "Abraham Cantata" and the "We Stand United" CD album, depicts a son, Isaac, telling his late father, Abraham, how much he loved him.
Pokorny has written over 800 songs and nearly 20 musicals and cantatas. Besides the above titles, his previously released songs include: 'Save The Earth', 'America, My Home', 'In Your Eyes', 'Dream The American Dream', 'Maybe Tomorrow', 'Blue Eyes', 'For Your Dreams', 'Faith Can Move Mountains', 'An Irish Blessing', and many others.
In 2006, Pokorny plans to release "Save The Earth... A Contemporary Musical", "The Obstacle Course Musical", and other CD albums.
