(Top40 Charts/ Celtic MP3s Music Magazine) - The Celtic MP3s Music Magazine, the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast, and the Brobdingnagian Bards are proud to announce the formation of the 1st Annual Celtic Music Awards. From now until January 31, 2006, Celtic music fans can vote for their favorite Celtic music groups. Results will be compiled and posted online, followed by a special episode of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast featuring the most-popular Celtic music groups.

The Celtic Music Awards were created by Marc Gunn. Gunn is a Celtic folk singer with the Brobdingnagian Bards who started the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine, later the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast as a way to help promote independent Celtic music groups online. He started the Celtic Music Awards as a challenge.

"The Grammys are too broad and largely ignore anything but big label Celtic artists," said Gunn. "I thought it was about time there was a competition that wasn't completely manipulated by record giants."

The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast will play the winners of the competition in March. Find our more information about the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine at https://www.celticmp3s.com/, the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast at https://www.celticmusicpodcast.com/, and the Brobdingnagian Bards at https://www.thebards.net/
