NASHVILLE, TN. (Spring Hill Music) -
Spring Hill
Music recording artists The Oak Ridge Boys recently completed a podcast, which can now be accessed online at www.garageband.com. The downloadable media includes an interview with group member Joe Bonsall detailing their recent Christmas release Christmas Cookies (Spring Hill).
The podcast features Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Jingle Bells and Hark the Herald Angels Sing, all found on the new Christmas Cookies project. It also features Bonsall reading from his childrens book An Inconvenient Christmas (New Leaf Press).
The Christmas season has been a busy one for the group as they are rounding out their Christmas tour, one the group describes as their most successful Christmas tour to date. The Oak Ridge Boys and the new Christmas CD have been featured on numerous television stations and networks since November through their Feed the Children TV special. The special, designed to support the relief efforts of Feed the Children, incorporates each of the Oaks members, along with their families, celebrating the holidays at homewrapping gifts, decorating the tree and cooking in the kitchen.
The Oak Ridge Boys are featured this month in Country Weekly, which highlights the Christmas Cookies recording, including a special recipe coinciding with the projects title cut and one surrounding the song Uncle Luther Made the Stuffin, penned by Bonsall.
We will continue to record podcasts with the Oaks ongoing, states David Ecrement, Spring Hill Musics director of marketing. The guys have been around for many years, and they have embraced countless changes and technological advances in the music industry, long before computers and well before many of us were in the business. They are always ready to grow and share their music with bigger audiences, and they are willing to make the most of chnages and upgrades in order to do so. That is one of the many secrets to their success.
Christmas Cookies is available in stores everywhere as well as online. It is distributed by Word Distribution/WEA with digital distribution by EMI CMG Distribution. The Oak Ridge Boys are managed by The Jim Halsey Company and are booked by The William Morris Agency. For further information, visit www.oakridgeboys.com.
