Coming off sold out performances across the nation in 2001, Juan Gabriel shared a nomination with Cristian in the "Best Latin Pop Album". The Puerto Rican singer, Gisselle received her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for "Best Merengue Album". Last year her smash single "Jurame" won a Latin GRAMMY for "Best Merengue Song" written by GRAMMY winner producer, Kike Santander. Latin rock bands, Jaguares and Aterciopelados also shared a nomination for "Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album". Aterciopelados also won a Latin GRAMMY last year. The Tejano singer, Emilio Navaira garnered one nomination in the "Best Tejano Album" category for "Lo Dice Tu Mirada". The 44th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 27.
