NASHVILLE, TN (www.cowboycrush.com) - The five gals of COWBOY CRUSH (Trenna, Becky, Debbie, Renae and Darla Rae) will make a special appearance on the New Artist Showcase Stage this Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the first annual Sprint Sound and Speed (Presented by SunTrust)-A Celebration of Music and Motorsports. COWBOY CRUSH will perform on the main stage of the Gaylord Entertainment Center in downtown Nashville Saturday afternoon-taking the stage at 2:40PM. To trademark the occasion, COWBOY CRUSH has re-worked their upcoming single entitled 'Hillbilly Nation' (scheduled to be released to radio Spring 2006-Curb/ Asylum) to 'NASCAR Nation.' "We love NASCAR! NASCAR and country music go hand in hand. NASCAR fans are country music fans! So, we all thought it appropriate that we revise the lyrics to mark the occasion," says Crush lead singer, Trenna Barnes. 'The Sprint Sound & Speed event seems most fitting-bringing NASCAR fans and country music fans together and we are excited to be part of it,' adds Becky Priest, the group's keyboard player and person primarily responsible for the song's new composition. "Trenna re-worked the lyrics. I enhanced the music just a bit and together we 'crushed' it {that's what we call it when we all come together and make it our own}-so 'NASCAR Nation' could become a NASCAR anthem!" Nashvillian's will have the opportunity to preview this weekend's festivities. COWBOY CRUSH will act as official spokespersons for the event appearing on WTVF-News Channel 5's Talk of the Town (Nashville) on Thursday, January 12. They will perform a short acoustic version of 'Hillbilly Nation.'
