NEW YORK (Maritime Hotel PR Team) - This wednesday, the magnificent Hiro Ballroom from the Maritime Hotel will be hosting the kick-off for an upcoming series of events held on a monthly basis and dubbed 'Recall Lab Sessions'. This innovative concept has been designed by Recall to challenge the common club or concert experience, and become a locus for media professionals, artists and music fans. Parisian master of dubby, jazz-laced instrumental hip-hop Dj Cam, who is celebrating the release of his new remix album, DJ Cam Revisted By, is headlining the show and will be performing his first gig on US soil since 2001! DJ Cam will be joined by fellow Recall act Grand National (whose debut album, 'Kicking The National Habit', will hit the stores March 14th), providing jangle-wavey tunes in an opening live set. Andrew Love Levy & N'Dea Davenport, from the london acid-jazz scene pioneer band Brand New Heavies (signed on Recall for France), will also be adding to the A-List line-up at Hiro this Wednesday. Currently in New York to record their upcoming studio album, Andrew & N'Dea will be joining DJ Cam on stage for a very special DJ mash-up session. Afrokinectic's Chris Annibell, MaltShop's G.O.V., and Girls & Boys' Alex English round up a very wide-ranging and unique line-up. Addtional surprises can be expected... The Recall Lab Sessions will bring together partygoers along with advertising agencies, music supervisors, record labels, fashion houses, as well as print, broadcast and online media professionals within and diverse and innovative music space. 'Recall Lab' aim to become the premier NYC monthly gathering for the media industry, serving as a 'lab' for professionals eager to explore new musical horizons, while being a powerful networking tool and memorable party at the same time.
