Philadelphia, PA (Glass Onyon PR) - Stewkey, original lead singer for the legendary NAZZ, has assembled a new generation of Philly rockers - bold, fresh and more powerful than ever! Stewkey, Otto, Larry, Richie and Mark (no, this is not John, Paul, George and Ringo, folks - ha, ha, ha), are taking NAZZ to new heights in rock music, performing to wildly enthusiastic audiences, as well as writing and recording new songs.

One of the memorable pop events from 1968 remains the album debut of Philadelphia's pop sensation, NAZZ. The album was supported by the classic double-sided single release of "Hello It's Me" and "Open My Eyes." These songs, as well as those from the entire catalog of NAZZ classics, are now available on a CD entitled Open My Eyes - Anthology. MOJO magazine's (UK) readers voted NAZZ as being one of the top 100 cult hero bands. Musically NAZZ were light years ahead of most American bands from that period.

In recent times, Stewkey (Robert Antoni) has put a reconstituted NAZZ together, and has staged an electrifying live show (as attested by ecstatic audience goers). The current line-up boasts Otto Capobianco (guitar), Larry Fisher (formally of Sebastian Bach - bass), Rich Carley (keyboards, vocals) and Mark Montoro (drums, vocals). Together, NAZZ has a new CD released called Hello It's Crazy Me, which, along with featuring a new version of "Hello It's Me," also showcases Stewkey's ageless, powerful vocal prowess (on tracks like "Baby Godzilla," "This One's For You" and "Down That Lonely Road").

NAZZ leader and frontman Stewkey, who has also recently performed live with ex-Utopia member Moogy Klingman, feels the new incarnation of NAZZ is "smoking," and the pop veteran continues his work with his colleagues in what he believes is their "own" genre of music. The New York Press recently praised NAZZ's exciting stage performance: "They spit forth rapid, rapid-fire takes on songs written by Stewkey, including some the old unit dared not play live! NAZZ 5.0 is thicker and psych-ier, much in tune with the legendary Fungo Bat sessions of 1969." (NAZZ Rock - as Stewkey likes to call it.)

Recently, NAZZ highlighted the City Of Brotherly Love concerts in Philadelphia, which also featured the likes of Charlie Gracie, The Orlons, Ezzra Mohawk, Soul Survivors, and the American Dream, as well as playing a one-off gig with legendary rocker Rick Derringer. NAZZ is currently recording a new album, and is in the planning stages of an international tour.
