Little Texas embark on Triple Threat Tour w/ Restless
Heart & BlackHawk
The multi platinum-selling country band of the '90s, LITTLE TEXAS, is back on the road due to popular demand with new material and a new album in the works. But this time they are touring with old friends and heroes. Little Texas, Restless Heart and BlackHawk have joined together for the 'Triple Threat Tour,' which will kick off March 3rd, with a two-night stint at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, Nevada.
The tour is currently booked in 20 cities nationwide and will possibly continue into 2007. Exciting news in itself, but for Little Texas, this lineup is special for other reasons.
To my knowledge, this is the first time three platinum-selling vocal bands have toured together in the country music genre,' says Little Texas bassist and spokesman Duane Propes. 'For one thing, it's going to be great for the fans, 'cause they'll get a whole night full of great hits for one ticket price. For us, it's special because we're touring with Restless Heart, who are one of our biggest influences, and we'll be returning to the road with BlackHawk, who opened our first arena tour back in '94-'95. It's gonna be a night of great music and fun.'
While the hits are 80% of the Little Texas experience, the band continues to progress forward with new material. 'We're currently in the studio between shows, tracking our upcoming album,' Propes said in a recent interview. 'We've spent the last two years writing and trying out the new material on the fans, and they've chosen the songs we're recording by their reactions. We'll continue using that formula on the Triple Threat tour. We've managed to jam just about every hit we've had into our live show, so nobody goes home without hearing their favorite Little Texas songs, but we want them to leave with some new music in their minds as well.'
