BURBANK, CA (Warner Bros. Records) - With her song "Scar" one of the most added tracks at US radio last week, Australian singer/songwriter Missy Higgins has announced that she's returning Stateside to open a series of shows for Train.
These dates will take the young Aussie up and down the West Coast ... territory she has previously covered as opener for other like-minded musicians including Ray Lamontagne, and Howie Day.

Prior to the tour Missy will also return to SXSW Music Conference in Austin, Texas, where she drew rave reviews following her 2005 appearance. Missy has been invited back and will enjoy a much higher profile at this year's event.
Missy is coming off a phenomenally successful 2005. Like recent US breakthrough artist James Blunt, her debut CD - "The Sound Of White" - was the highest selling disc of 2005 in her homeland.

Her raw collection of intensely lyrical pieces has been certified nine times platinum in Australia. It was voted "Album Of The Year" in Australia's equivalent of the Grammy's - the ARIA's - as well as winning awards in five other categories. Missy has also been named Rolling Stone Australia's "Artist of the Year" and she's graced the cover of that magazine an extraordinary three times over the last 12 months.

Missy's spectacular success at home has been built on non-stop touring and a very special connection with her live audiences. Her most recent Australian tour saw her playing to crowds of 20,000 people per night, so these shows with Train will be an unusually intimate experience by comparison. Dates and venues are as follows:

Wed March 15 18th Floor At The Capitol Austin, TX (SXSW)
Sat March 18 The Fillmore San Francisco, CA
Tue March 21 McCaw Hall Seattle, WA
Wed March 22 Commodore Ballroom Vancouver, BC
Thu March 23 Crystal Ballroom Portland, OR
Tue March 28 Pechanga Resort Temecula, CA
Wed March 29 Wiltern Theatre Los Angeles, CA
Thur March 30 Palms Las Vegas, NV
Fri March 31 Veijas San Diego, CA
