Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - The stunning Bic Runga releases her brand new album 'Birds' this weekend, and it's an absolute gem. We were lucky enough to have a chat with Bic about recording 'Birds', the very special group of musicians she assembled for the project, and how her next album might even see her rock out...

Since emerging at 19 years of age with her debut single 'Drive' a decade ago, Bic Runga has travelled a remarkable musical journey, taking her to the top of charts at home and around the world at the same time as winning enormous critical acclaim for her winsome, transfixing tunes.

Now, Bic releases her third album, 'Birds', and it's quite possibly her finest musical statement yet. We spoke to Bic down the line from New Zealand about the brilliant group of musos she worked with on 'Birds', capturing the 'live' element on the record, and bird watching in between takes. She even told us she might even release a rock album next!
