NEW YORK (Audio Crash PR) - Perfuma will showcase songs off their new album, 'The Black Lung Sessions,' at Crash Mansion in New York City on April 25. While only two songs from the 'Sessions' were released online in March, they've caused many industry ears to perk up.
'The Black Lung Sessions' was produced by Jesse Cannon (The Cure, Hot Rod Circuit) and features guest appearances by Rye Coalition drummer Dave Leto, as well as Armor For Sleep vocalist, Ben Jorgansen.

Perfuma's debut CD, 'Humans Are Dangerous,' was released in December '04. The Internet pre-sale of 'Humans' saw it in the top 50 on Smartpunk.com. The CD continues to move over 100 copies a month at live shows. The first pressing sold out 50 shows after its release. In January '06, Hot Topic began distributing 'Humans' in its New Jersey and New York stores. Copies sold out within the first week.

Tour highlights for 'Humans' included Perfuma building an extensive fan base by performing alongside national acts like Hidden In Plainview and Armor For Sleep, being one of the select unsigned bands to play The Great Bamboozle Festival 2005 in Asbury Park, along with Further Seems Forever and Fallout Boy, and playing on the AbsolutePunk.net sponsored "Keep Your Composure Tour' during the summer of 2005.

Here's what people are saying:

'The one thing that strikes me about Perfuma is not only do they give more than 100 percent when they perform, but their audience keeps getting bigger and bigger. I recommend that if you have not checked out Perfuma, do it now!'- The Aquarian Weekly

'This is without a doubt, a band to keep on the radar, 'cause I call it now...GOING PLACES.' - Absolute Punk.net

'Like a waft of sweet perfume, they're a breath of fresh air in a time of Emo-esque pretentious hipster whiners.' -Exit Weekly

'I love your music!' -Epic recording artist/producer Butch Walker to Perfuma - In support of 'The Black Lung Sessions,' Perfuma will tour extensively along the east coast.
