LONDON, UK (By Gail Walker/ GW Communications) - On the 12th April at 3.00 pm Brit hip hop group
Big Brovaz announce they have signed a new record deal to Genetic Records with a distribution deal via Universal.
"Being signed to Genetic Records has given us a new lease of life and an opportunity to get back to producing the kinda music that is truly Big Brovaz. (Randy - Big Brovaz.)
The label will release the bands sophomore album 'Re-Entry' in May with the first single, 'Hangin Around' to be released on April 24th.
The single 'Hangin Around' is a fresh bubbly summer tune which samples the Carpenters Rainy Days and Monday's.
Big Brovaz have re-emerged onto the UK music scene, this time as a four piece outfit of Randy, J-Rock, Cherise and Nadia. They hope to rival the success of their previous award winning platinum album 'Nu Flow', which to date has won 2 Mobo awards, Smash Hits awards and many other music accolades.
The band has been working nationwide on their "Watching the Streets" campaign. The campaign covers issues including drugs, self harm, violence and life on the streets in general
"Coming up on the blocks, I was up in all the usual spots, in the streets with the rest of the have nots - ...Why not try something new? There's so many things that you could pursue. I know you're trying to be cool" (Hangin Around)
Recognising that this desire to be cool can be a hindrance to achievement, Big Brovaz have under taken this critical role and have given up their time to encourage youth development.
Participating on a nationwide schools tour Big Brovaz are hosting several question & answer sessions on music culture and peer pressure.
