LOS ANGELES (GODSMACK Official Website) - GODSMACK will hit the road in support of their new album, "IV", with a series of Canadian dates, kicking off June 10, followed by treks through Japan and Australia in July. A North American Tour is being mapped out for late summer and fall, with dates expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The band's first full studio release in more than three years, "IV" is already garnering momentum propelled by the scalding first single, "Speak". The song is firmly planted at No 1 at Active Rock radio, giving the Boston-based foursome their fourth No 1. GODSMACK are the only rock band to have scored 13 Top 10 hits in the Active Rock format. The video for "Speak" can be seen on MTV2 and Fuse.

Due on April 25, "IV" is the first GODSMACK album produced solely by the band's lead singer Sully Erna. Mixed by legendary engineer/producer Andy Johns (LED ZEPPELIN, ROLLING STONES), the 11-song disc was recorded Sully's Spiral Recordings Studio in Los Angeles. 'We want to perk people's eyebrows up with this one," said Sully in a press release. "The key was to retain the toughness of our sound but move forward, as well."

GODSMACK are scheduled to perform "Speak" on NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on April 26 and ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on April 28. They will also be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Monday, May 1. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625).
