Donnie McClurkin's Surprise Performance @ Straight Gate

Detroit, MI (Straight Gate International Church) - On April 11, 2006, live from Straight Gate International Church, Bishop Andrew Merritt and Pastor Viveca Merritt announced the Praise and Worship extravaganza, "One in Worship," to the world. In front of a packed congregation at the Detroit-based church, Praise & Worship Leaders like David & Nicole Binion, J. Moss, Bishop Liston Page, Antwaun Stanley , and Pastor Marvin L. Winans, added to the celebration.

But all were surprised by a surprise appearance and rousing performance by Grammy winning gospel star Donnie McClurkin. McClurkin came to lend his support for the upcoming "One in Worship" historic event.

An entire evening was broadcast live on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, April 11, 7PM to 9PM. Trinity Broadcasting Network is the world's largest religious network and America's most watched faith channel and offers 24 hours of commercial free inspirational programming that appeals to all people of varying denominations.

The founders of Straight Gate Church have seen their church grow from a storefront to a family based ministry with an emerging congregation of more than 5,000 today. Straight Gate's philosophy is that the bible is the infallible Word of God and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Bishop Andrew Merritt and his wife Pastor Viveca Merritt not only provide spiritual leadership but they are also teachers, authors, and lecturers of the word of God.

This year will mark the third annual Praise and Worship Extravaganza, "One in Worship." Taking place June 2-3, in Greensboro, NC, "One in Worship" unites believers of all colors and nationalities. It features some of the country's most respected Praise and Worship leaders as well as a number of popular gospel artists. More than 30,000 people are expected to join in the unique and inspiring celebration.
