LOS ANGELES, CA (Interscope Records) - Sponsored by The G-Unity Foundation, Inc., G-Unit Records recording artist Young Buck furthered his commitment to the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children, located in Nashville, Tennessee, by donating $5,000 to purchase much needed sports equipment and outdoor game supplies.

Founded in 1891, Fannie Battle Day Home for Children provides quality childcare that encourages the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of each child in a safe and happy environment. They endeavor to provide their services to children of low income, single parent families that are either working or furthering their education in order to maintain their independence.

This past December, Buck treated 70 of Fannie Battle's children to a holiday party that included pizza and toys for everyone, and surprised the organization with a grant of $25,000.

Young Buck said, "I never thought that I'd be in a position to give back to the Nashville community. I feel good giving back to the kids because at the end of the day they are the future, and without them, Young Buck wouldn't be who he is."

"David Darnell Brown ('Young Buck') and The G-Unity Foundation have made a tremendous impact on Fannie Battle Day Home for Children. The families, children, staff, board of directors, and myself have been completely overwhelmed by their generosity and their continued support of our mission. Young Buck's past visit impacted everyone and his message was simple and clear: 'Be good and stay in school.' He understands that this is an important statement to convey to the children of Fannie Battle because he too grew up in this East Nashville neighborhood," said Sara Longhini, Executive Director, Fannie Battle Day Home for Children.

The G-Unity Foundation, Inc. is a public foundation that provides grants to nonprofit organizations that focus on improving the quality of life for low-income and underserved communities. Recent grants totaling over $500,000 in 2005 and 2006 include The Boys Choir Academy of Harlem, Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum, Homes for the Homeless, Teach for America - Houston, Queensborough Community College, Nashville Alliance for Public Education, Jam Master Jay Foundation for Music, the Ronald Edmonds Learning Center in Brooklyn, NY, and the Compton Unified School District.
