Los Angeles, CA (mun2) - "Vivo," a one-hour music variety show featuring non-stop entertainment with interviews, live performances, and interactive call-ins, filmed in front of a live studio audience, will feature performances from two chart-topping artists,
Julieta Venegas and Bow Wow. The program will air on Wednesday, June 14 at 6:00 p.m. on mun2, and on Saturday night, June 17, on KNBC-TV in Los Angeles after "Saturday Night Live" and "Showtime at the Apollo."
The "Vivo" audience will get up close and personal with Julieta and Bow Wow, when each sits down to give a live interview with hosts Yasmin "Queenz" Deliz and Renato Lopez before performing.
Mexican singer songwriter, Julieta Venegas, has gained international recognition for her Grammy winning unique sound, which combines traditional Mexican music and rock with a touch of folk. Songs such as, "Algo está cambiando" from her Si album and "Me Voy" from her recently released, Limón y Sal album are international hits, and the viewers will be able to enjoy her performance of "Me Voy," with which she will open the show, as well as "Dulce Compañía. In addition, fans will be able to hear her stance on the current immigration issue and thoughts on branching into other areas such as acting.
Multi-platinum entertainer Bow Wow will speak to "VIVO" about his upcoming film "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" and about how he juggles both his acting and his musical career. The young artist released "Wanted," his fourth Sony album last summer, and is best known for hits such as "Like You" and "Let Me Hold You." In addition to his musical talents, Bow Wow also played the starring role in the film "Like Mike" which led to a role in the smash hit comedy, "The Johnson Family Vacation."
Viewers will also follow "Vivo's" cameras to City Walk at Universal Studios, Hollywood, to hear what people have to say about their dad's. It's a Father's Day edition of "chit chat," and during "mun2 Talks 2" fans will see Pitbull as he gives the inside on his new English and Spanish albums, and speaks about his collaborations with Orishas and Lil Jon. Finally, "Vivo" also offers "The 411" on rock group, Elefant, breaking down their style of rock and sharing how they've been able to fuse their Latin roots with mainstream rock.
Hosted by Yasmin "Queenz" Deliz and Renato Lopez, "Vivo" airs Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 p.m. and is the place where Latin culture meets pop culture. The program offers a melting pot of music video chart toppers; interactive games and even hip history lessons schooling viewers in a spoken word format. The show also highlights newly released movies, CDs, DVDs and other fun consumer products. Every so often "Vivo" surprises viewers with walk-in interviews and call-in chats with a variety of famous personalities.
