Dennis Quaid performs shoeless in Ore.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) - Dennis Quaid jumped on stage barefoot to perform with his band at the annual Taste of Beaverton party. The actor, better known for his rustic good looks on the big screen than as a musician, says he always performs without shoes because it makes him feel like he's in a living room. Quaid has been playing guitar since he was 12, growing up in Texas. The group, Dennis Quaid and the Sharks, has been together about eight months. "I get nervous before I go on stage so I like it, it gets you going," Quaid said Sunday at the Beaverton event. "We've had really good crowds, you know, and people having fun and that's what we want."
