Los Angeles, CA (American Music Awards) - Veteran composer / musical director Edgar Struble has been tapped by dick clark productions to serve as Musical Director for the 2006 American Music Awards. The three-hour special will be broadcast live on ABC Tuesday, Nov. 21. This is Struble's second year to serve as Musical Director for this show. Bumpers, rejoins, presenter play-ons and theme music will be composed and/or arranged by him and he will be present at rehearsals to insure the musical integrity of the show. 'At this level there is not much supervision necessary,' says Struble, 'but if anything arises, I'm there so the producers have a go-to guy.' Struble's previous credits include Musical Director for Kenny Rogers, Musical Director for TNN's 'Prime Time Country,' Musical Director for 'The Academy of Country Music Awards Show,' and composer for several network series and movies.
