NEW YORK, NY (MTV Networks) - MTV Networks (MTVN), a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), today announced that Braden Herman has been named Senior Vice President, Digital Advertising Operations. In his position, he will be responsible for optimizing MTVN's digital ad sales structure and enabling clients to effectively target audiences across the company's portfolio of brands. Herman will report to Hank Close, President, U.S. Ad Sales, MTV Networks.

"In the ever-changing digital space, it's imperative that MTV Networks has a digital ad sales structure that can adapt to meet our clients' needs," said Close. "Brad has the expertise to help us get the most out of our premium brands, and I'm excited to welcome him to our team."

"MTV Networks connects advertisers with deeply engaged, trendsetting audiences through our vast library of professional, high-quality online content," said Michael Wolf, President and COO, MTVN. "Our digital ad sales team continues to sharpen its efforts to further unlock the value of our online offerings, and I'm thrilled to have Brad on board to help drive our digital ad sales operations."

Herman previously served as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Advertising.com, where he led business intelligence and strategy for the company's sales division. In his role, Herman developed and executed a broad restructuring of Advertising.com's ad sales department, which helped the company achieve record revenues. Prior to that, Herman directed the company's management of all media for web, affiliate and behavioral targeting products as its Vice President, Publisher Services. He also ran Advertising.com's ad serving product division. Herman joined Advertising.com in 2003, as a Director of Corporate Development. Earlier, he was an associate in the corporate law practice at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Herman attended Duke University where he earned a B.A. in Economics. He also received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1999.
