San Antonio, TX (www.electriccrush.com) - Former Matchbox Twenty guitarist Adam Gaynor has signed on to be the new co-manager and producer for the rock band Electric Crush. Adam will be co-managing with current manager / producer Keith Michael Chester of Crop Circle Records, and will be working with the band at an undisclosed recording studio in Los Angeles this Fall.

The San Antonio five piece Modern Rock band is credited with a sound reminiscent of Gaynor's former band and is often compared to such acts as Stone Temple Pilots, Maroon 5, Lifehouse and the Goo Goo Dolls.

Of meeting the band, Gaynor was quoted as saying; 'They were playing the second stage at Sturgis, so I grabbed my camera crew and told them we should film them… They blew us away! They put them on the radio, I interviewed them and that was that. I wanted to hear more, took their CD, listened, and kept in touch with the possibility of doing future work together. The future came much faster than I thought'.

'My director of photography at Sturgis, Tristan Barnard, is shooting an unofficial 40th anniversary Star Trek movie called 'Of Gods and Men' (you can see trailer on www.STARTREKOFGODSANDMEN.com, so he asked if he could contact the guys to use one of their songs for a music video in the movie. I said they would be thrilled. Tristan said they were filming the video in LA and asked if I would co-direct it. I said yes, and away we went. The band showed up in their RV, and basically dropped the bomb that they were staying to work with me for a month. I was like "Maybe you could have called first?"

This has meant relocating Electric Crush to L.A. 'Now they are getting some apartments, bunkering in and we begin sifting through new and old material, rehearsing and writing and basically putting this all together to conquer Earth together'.

As producer of the band, Gaynor says 'We are setting up writing camps for the band members to work and write with each other and production time to go through material and figure out how to package and put this all together. They have some really nice material to this point and being in a band that was so song driven, I am stressing to them to reach for the best possible material they can create. They are writing more as we speak, so part of my job is to filter ideas with them and create the strongest package possible to present them to Planet Earth in a way I hope will be both exciting and memorable. Please stand by'.

Electric Crush will play the Viper Room at Midnight in West Hollywood this Saturday Oct 7, and will open for Gilby Clarke (SUPERNOVA / Guns N' Roses) also at the Viper Room on Saturday Oct 28.
