Nashville, TN (Steve Azar Official Website) -- Country music hit maker
Steve Azar will join legendary rocker
Bob Seger & The
Silver Bullet Band on the road throughout the month of November.
With his soulful, bluesy voice, Azar delivers a high-energy, crowd pleasing, performance every night for his fans. He is a seasoned performer with undeniable charisma as well as a very talented and prolific songwriter. He penned two of his biggest hits, gaining national attention with songs like “I Dont Have to Be Me (Til Monday)” and “Waitin On Joe,” which produced a #1 video featuring Academy Award-winning actor, Morgan Freeman.
Seger is universally acknowledged as having one of the few truly defining voices of American music. Throughout his career, Seger has sold nearly 50 million albums to date, and has taken song after song up the music charts including “Against The Wind,” “Turn The Page,” “Night Moves,” “Old Time Rock and Roll,” and “Beautiful Loser.” In September 2006, Seger released his first CD in eleven years "Face The Promise" which debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart at #4.
“We are thrilled for Steve to be chosen for such a coveted slot on one of the most anticipated tours in years. Bob Seger fans are in for an incredible night of music,” says Azars agent Darin Murphy of Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
"I have been a fan of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's music for years,” explains Azar. “In fact, I think that Bob is probably one of the best singer/songwriters of all time. His authentic and distinct style of music always seems to appeal to the masses - not just one music genre and that has always inspired me. This is an exciting opportunity for me, to say the least."
Azar will release a new album early next year called Indianola. The debut single, “You Dont Know A Thing,” is Azars latest hit, with the video airing on CMT and GAC video networks.
On The Run, Exxon and Mobil continue to serve as sponsors for Azars 2006 tour dates.
