NASHVILLE (AP) - Martina McBride doesn't view the Girls' Night Out tour, scheduled to play in 25 cities through August, "as some kind of great stride for womanhood." "I think if you get to see five women perform, a few guys will show up," she told The Associated Press.

McBride, who's a veteran of Lilith Fair and George Strait's annual tour of stadiums, said she enjoys the camaraderie that usually develops on multi-act festival tours. "My hope is that we get a vibe going backstage, and that will translate to the audience." Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Jamie O'Neal and newcomer Carolyn Dawn Johnson also are performing. The 46-year-old McEntire put the tour together.
