(Victory Records) -- Victory recording artists BAYSIDE are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to their critically and commercially-acclaimed self-titled second album. Titled The Walking Wounded, the third full-length for the Long Island-based foursome is threatening to be the album that takes them from indie rock darlings to a formidable rock entity. "I really can't wait to hear it when it's all done," says vocal/guitarist Anthony Raneri. "As excited as I am for it to be finished, it's going to be weird to listen to the final product... to think that it's over. The making of this record has been my entire life for the last five months."

Holed up in General Studios on Long Island, the band have recruited the production team of Kenny Gioia and Shep Goodman (Head Automatica, Cute Is What We Aim For, Mandy Moore) for a second time. "We had alot more time to make this record and a little more money," he explains about the recording of this record. "We wrote most of the last record on the road which really wasn't as inspiring as it sounds. This time around, however, we took some time to sit at home and write the record that we wanted to write. We're recording in bigger studios this time as well, which definitely makes for bigger sounds. Also, this being the second time around with Shep and Kenny producing, everyone knows everyone... everyone is comfortable. I know what they're going to say before they say it and vice versa."

A bit more personal and shaping up to be much more fully realized since more care is being taken in putting this album together, The Walking Wounded is also becoming the album that Bayside need to write. "People always asked me what I was going to do when I wasn't miserable anymore," Anthony continues. "It was kind of inevitable that one day I would get older, wiser, more succesful, married etc.. and not know what to write about anymore. That time has come I guess. I feel like over the years of being depressed and lost, I learned from my mistakes. That's what the last record was about. I wanted this record to be a progression of my life the way Sirens progressed into Self Titled. I want this albim to be about how I've made the neccessary changes and found out what made me happy. It's not dance music and it's not background music. We play music for people who want something they can latch onto and listen to for the rest of their lives."

Bayside is Anthony Raneri (guitars/vocals), Jack O'Shea (guitar), Christopher J. Guglielmo (drums) and Nick Ghanbarian (bass). The Walking Wounded is slated for release on Victory Records in Early 2007. Previous albums included Sirens and Condolences (2004) which sold over 50,000 and Bayside (2005) which sold 60,000.
