Atlanta, GA. (Latin Aura) -- It is my distinct pleasure to announce that I will present/host, as guest Emcee, the "Sun of Latin Music" Eddie Palmieri's 70th Birthday in Atlanta, Saturday, November 18th, 2006,
Eddie Palmieri
Latin Jazz Legend
Saturday, November 18, 8:00 PM
Guest Emcee: Tomas Algarin, "Latin Aura"

The world has long admired Eddie Palmieri – the Harlem-born, eight-time Grammy award winner – as one of the foremost Latin pianists of the last half-century. His ability to fuse the rhythms of his Puerto Rican heritage with the jazz influences of Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner made him an instant success in the 1950's and 60's. Palmieri, who embodies the jazz spirit of improvisation, has continued to roll on with stylistic innovations over the years. In 2005, Palmieri celebrated an amazing 50-year career as a professional musician, and will celebrate his 70th birthday year with the Rialto.

The Rialto Box Office sells tickets to performances from the Rialto's signature series, and to the many organizations and presenters that rent the facility for their own programs.
