(Eieg LLC/D-Town Records) -- Bad Boy and Block Entertainment loved the D-Town Hood 2 Hood Talent Showcases here in Dallas. So much so that they have partnered with D-Town and will be working on many upcoming projects. This will bring big time music industry people to Dallas doing major events that include local artist. With the power of heavy hitters like Bad Boy/Block Entertainment, Def Jam, and Warner Brothers, D-Town is set to do big things in Dallas, and that's good for all of us.

The H2H talent search was a set of preliminary showcases where local artists competed and performed for a spot in the main event and a chance to win overall for the city of Dallas. Some of the judges were radio personalities, Headcrack, Big Bink, and Big Phazz, from Top of the Line Records. The main event was hosted at Maxwell's and it was a star-studded event. Major A&R personnel were on hand to judge the event and check out the talent, as well as Big Duke, and Ray J. While Diddy wasn't actually spotted, word is, that he was in town for the event. The event was filmed by Mahogany Films, who have filmed all of the showcases, and by MTV, for the reality show series.

The H2H talent search has concluded in Dallas, but D-Town is about to kick it off in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Philly, Florida, and Ohio. The search is going on in fifty-two cities. They are set to conclude in December, and the show scheduled to air in January 2007. It hasn't been determined how many winners there will be at the final event. There may be one, or there could be a few. So some lucky talented artists could be the newest Hip Hop stars of 2007. Young Joc was discovered through showcases just like this, and look how he has blown up!

The artists who participated received a chance to perform live in front of major A&R professionals, and get their feedback. The event was filmed and the footage will be included on a Compilation cd/dvd that will be distributed by Bad Boy/Block Ent in many record stores, and on the streets by D-Town. How awesome is that! Along with the local artist on the cd/dvd will be some of today's most popular major artist. None of which I could convince D-Town CEO, Nate Edwards to release to me, except for Big Duke. Bid Duke is also scheduled to release his new album with Jeezy in Nov. 2006. DJ Detail, who has worked with big labels like Universal, and Def Jam, and artist such as Jaime Foxx, Bow Wow, and Snoop Dog is expected to work on the cd and even do some production for D-Town artists LG3, CMC, and Keingz Ransom. Winners also receive, media exposure, and access to radio stations. The winner for the city of Dallas was a female rapper, Black Stallion. (Look for more information on her to come.)

The H2H was a really successful event, not only for D-Town Records, but also for everyone in Dallas, aspiring to be successful in the music industry. How did D-Town land such a great opportunity? Well, they didn't! It just fell into their laps! You are not going to believe this. CEO, Nate Edwards didn't believe it, and it happened to him - lol. His receptionist told him that someone was on the line about an event, so he told her to tell them to fax the information over. They did and he glanced at the fax and put it aside then went back to work on getting singles released for his current artist. Later it crossed his mind that maybe he saw Bad Boy on the fax. He picked it back up, and looked at it, and sure enough, it had Bad Boy/Block Ent. on it. Through the internet and word of mouth, Bad Boy had heard about D-Town and contacted them about hosting the H2H Talent Search, for the reality tv show. Wow!

That's how it started, now let me tell you about what D-Town has coming up. D-Town has just signed "Grammy Award Winning" longtime favorite, The Deele! The group Babyface started out with. The Deele will be performing a few shows in selected cities: Ladies get ready; they will be here in the DFW at Maxwell's on Nov 13th. Babyface may make a special guest appearance with them.

D-Town also had another opportunity dropped in their lap. Warner Brothers Records sought them out to work on a track with a new artist in New York named Jre. Warner Brothers liked the sound of D-Town rap artist J-Bezy, who is also part of the rap group CMC. They worked out a deal and J-Bezy did his thang and the track is now playing on the east coast. It will start playing down south, after the video is shot. They were initially going to shoot the video in New York, but D-Town was able to negotiate with Warner Brothers to shoot the video here in Dallas! So everybody get ready to represent. Mahogany Films along with Boomtown Productions will produce the video. You can also look for Jre along with Kanye West to do an interview on BET soon.

Coming up next year, under their new partnership with Bad Boy, D-Town will bring to town, the 2007 Block Party, with the "Flexed" out Car show, featuring; guess what special guest????? Flex Alexander! The event will feature two major artists, plus D-Town artist and other local artist.

D-Town is also doing the Kappa Beach Party in Galveston. This show will have two major acts as well, along with D-Town artist and other local performers.

New York promoting company "What's Poppin Next" has D-Town female hip hop group LG3 slated to perform at next year's 2007 NBA All Star Game in Las Vegas, and the Super Bowl in Miami.

Along with all of these events, D-Town will continue its support of the Black United Funds of Texas/ Texas Teen Summit. The organization helps families and kids, by supplying scholarships for students, school supplies, food drives and provides other types of assistance.

D-Town is covering the south in the following states; Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. So if you are in any of these areas, D-Town could be your ticket to stardom. They are currently looking for Country Western artist, and Rock artist.
