Oslo, Norway (Dede Dalton) -- Norwegian Drum & Bass producers Future Prophecies inject some venom into the dancefloor with the first release, 'Black Mamba'/ 'Humanoid Invasion,' on their new record label Berzerk.

Berzerk launches with the release of BEZ001, a pair of lethal tracks aimed to tear up any dancefloor. 'Black Mamba' is a massive tune that attacks the dancefloor at every angle -- from the hypnotic intro filled with string textures, the catchy vocal hook, to the wicked amens, and the killer riff on the nasty synth sax. 'Humanoid Invasion' is a tune with a bassline guaranteed to work the dancefloor into a frenzy. Support for the release has come from Pendulum, Hype, Subfocus, Teebee, Bassline Smith, Chase and Status, Black Sun Empire, Nightbreed, and DJ Craze.

Inspired by the ancient Vikings, the label Berzerk takes its name from the Norse warriors and the way they prepared to go to war. The term berserker comes from Old Norse meaning "without shirt." Before going to battle, these Vikings worked themselves into frenzy in order to fight with crazed strength, heedless of danger -- giving rise to the term 'going berzerk.' Today one can glimpse into the Viking past when witnessing Future Prophecies' live Hybrid Session, as Tony does his own war dance behind the turntables. Berzerk, a dancefloor-oriented DnB label, will focus on melodic and themed tracks in the same vein as Future Prophecies' monstrous hit 'Dreadlock' on Breakbeat Kaos in 2004. Berzerk is certain to have people worldwide doing their own war dances. Distribution for Berzerk is handled by SRD (Southern Record Distributors).

Future Prophecies have started their own imprint Berzerk off with the release of BEZ001, two dark and nasty anthems for any drum & bass dancefloor arsenal. 'Black Mamba'/ 'Humanoid Invasion' is available today at record stores worldwide.

Future Prophecies, aka Richard Animashaun Thomas & Tony Anthun are Drum&Bass artists from Norway. They perform as a DJ/live (Hybrid Session) act comprising of jazz musicians and DJs, culminating in a new sound breaking traditional musical barriers. Their extensive knowledge stems from relentless work as club DJs and jazz musicians throughout Norway, all over Europe, Australia and the States. Having had releases on Breakbeat Kaos, Subtitles, Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow, Certificate 18, Formation and Ganja Records they are a force to be reckoned with.

"Our music philosophy is not to have any boundaries. We try to make what feels good at any given moment. Our aim is to create a freedom to do what we want. Our influences come from all genres; r&b, pop, rock, jazz, indian, breakbeat, techno, house, and we believe people shouldn't forget where they are coming from. We try to blend all kind of styles in our music, be it saxophone, flute, vocals, tabla, guitar and so on. But in the end whatever we do, the main thing is to achieve a kind of sensation, a feel that this is it -- the moment." And now Future Prophecies are here to challenge the way drum'n'bass is heard -- something so many are afraid to do.
