New York, NY. (www.myspace.com/nightkillstheday) - As their moniker implies, NIGHT KILLS THE DAY play a brand of music that is sonically dark and moody-and matched with tales of "sex addiction, drug addiction, money and even murder," says lead singer LUKE BRIAN. "And most importantly," he adds, "weaving in and out of it all is the deep hunger for a connection to God."

Inspired by such groups as The Cure and Pink Floyd, NIGHT KILLS THE DAY will release their full-length debut THE STUDY OF MAN...AND THE DEVELOPED SHADOW March 2007 via the NY indie Score Records. Produced by Joe Blaney-noted for his engineering work with the Ramones and Keith Richards as well as on the seminal Clash albums Combat Rock and This is Radio Clash-THE STUDY OF MAN...realizes the eclectic vision of the band which will soon announce tour dates.

Despite their relative young years, the NYC-based NIGHT KILLS THE DAY managed to channel a vast range of human experience-encompassing everything from substance abuse and homelessness to sobriety and solace-into their compelling debut. "We have abused our privileges with every other vice," LUKE acknowledges. "This band is all we have left and what helps keep us sane as individuals."

NIGHT KILLS THE DAY-LUKE BRIAN (vocals), TIMOTHY FALZONE (bass), IZZY LUGO (guitar) and ROGER BENTON (drums)-recently shot a video for their first single "Dive" in Los Angeles with director Darren Doane (AFI, Funeral For A Friend, Thursday). Look for news of the video's debut soon. Other album highlights include the infectious and danceable "Enjoy The Ride" and "Rainbows in N.Y.C." as well as the ambient disc-opener "After Hours."
